Bedsworth Family Racing
2007 season update: Mike finished #2 by the closest of margins to cap off a solid 2007 season. If it was not for the rain outs at the end of the season and a early round loss in his final round of eliminations he would be a two time champion. You can bet that he will come out guns blazing to try and become a series champion again Mike and Kim Bedsworth hail from Marysville Washington. This is their fifth year racing the CWDS series, after running Super Pro for a number of years. In 2005 they stepped up big time, as Mike traded in his 8 second Dodge Challenger and bought a Pro Stock Olds Cutlass. The Willie Rells built ex-Scribner Bros. Oldsmobile was last owned by Rob Robinson and campaigned in Comp eliminator here in Division 6 and Division 7. The claim to fame with the car, is that Kurt Johnson started his Pro Stock career in this car for Harry Scribner. Mike debuted the car at the first 2004 Doorslammer event of the year, and went all the way to the semi finals. While he is really a Mopar man at heart his early success with make him miss the Challenger a little less. It will be hard for him to keep track of the wear abouts of the Dodge as he sold it to a racer from Denmark. 2005 was a banner year as Mike took top honors in the CWD series. He was in the top four all year and overtook Grant Howell at the last race of the season. 2006 should see the Bedsworth team as tough as last year, but there will be a "bullseye" on their back, and the are looking forward to it!
